knownprint.com is a landing page and a waitlist, run by the knownprint project. This website does not run knownprint, or any other fingerprinting, analytics or advertising code, on the people who visit it.
This notice covers this website only. A site that runs knownprint is governed by that site's own privacy notice.
What this site collects
Only what you type into the waitlist form, and when:
- your email address, stored trimmed and in lower case;
- the company or site, if you give one;
- the use case, if you choose one from the list;
- the date and time you joined.
Joining twice keeps one entry, and the site never says whether an address is already on the list. A submission that fills in a field people never see, which is there to catch bots, is answered as a success and stores nothing.
What it does not collect
No IP address and no browser details are stored with your entry, and the site's own code keeps no log of visitors. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no scripts or fonts from anyone else: everything on these pages, the typeface included, is served from knownprint.com.
Nothing is stored in your browser either. After you join, the page shows your address until you leave it, and then forgets it.
Why it is kept
To send you one email when knownprint launches. The list is used for nothing else: no newsletter, no follow-ups, no advertising.
It is never sold. Nobody else receives it apart from the hosting provider below and the email service that sends the launch email, which this notice will name before that email goes out.
Where it is kept
Cloudflare hosts this website (Cloudflare Workers) and the waitlist database (Cloudflare D1).
To deliver the pages, Cloudflare processes connection data such as your IP address and the details of each request. On the two waitlist forms it also uses your IP address to apply a limit of 5 submissions per minute. The site does not store IP addresses. Cloudflare's own processing is covered by Cloudflare's privacy policy.
How long it is kept
Until the launch email has been sent. Then the list is deleted.
You can take your address off sooner with the form below. It leaves the list at once; the database history our hosting provider keeps for recovery ages out within 30 days.
Remove your address
Enter the address to take off the list. The answer is the same whether or not it was there, so the form cannot be used to find out who joined.
Changes to this notice
Changes are published on this page with a new date at the top. No change will put the list to any use other than the one launch email.
